1. What can we expect from French elections? While Marine Le Pen has a good chance of becoming the first woman to lead the European nation, she is also well-known as a fan of Vladimir Putin and Trump and for her racism, Islamophobia and extreme anti-immigrant policies, which have included such positions as calling for banning all Muslims and immigrants from France.

2. What has happened in Queenstown? A man has died in a paragliding accident.

3. Would you go to uni on a scholarship to play video games? Stephens College in the US is now offering scholarships for students to play video games competitively at the all-female university.

4. Can we talk about misogyny in places of worship? The topic is spreading on Twitter, with frank discussion about misogyny in churches.

5. Could NZ have its own WNBA star? Hamilton-raised Kalani Purcell has been invited to training camp to try out with the Dallas Wings. If she makes the team, she'll be just the second New Zealander to make a WNBA roster, after Megan Compain played one season in 1997.
